A | (ECNS) -- Robots designed to provide companionship, healthcare services and workplace assistance are moving closer to everyday life as the 2026 World Robot Conference opened in Beijing on Wednesday. Beijing Cylingo Robotics presented a 65-centimeter-tall companion robot for family use, which can support scenarios such as child development, elderly care, and companionship for people living alone. Hangzhou Eachi Future Intelligent Technology showcased a massage robot with a six-axis robotic arm that can analyze body conditions and provide massage services for healthcare, rehabilitation, and wellness applications. The CyboPal desktop robotic assistant from Jiangsu Cytoderm Intelligent Technology can adjust its position based on users’ movements and help with computer tasks through voice or keyboard commands. Sichuan Embodied Intelligent Robot Technology unveiled a humanoid robot for emotional interaction starting at 98,000 yuan (approximately $14,562). The robot can recognize facial expressions and voice and provide personalized responses. The company plans to expand its use from business scenarios to home applications. The five-day conference, themed “Human-Robot Symbiosis, Production-Demand Convergence,” has attracted more than 300 robotics companies from China and abroad, showcasing over 3,000 exhibits.
